It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles Shaw inspired our double design art project. The children dripped a white paint and glue mixture on half a folded sheet of blue paper. We then rubbed the two sides together and opened the paper to find our surprise double design. We added diamond dust to make the design sparkle. After reading the book each of the children dictated what they saw in their design. Look for our creations in the hall.

The Boy Jesus at the Temple was our focus bible story this week. From an adult point of view you can imagine how worried Mary and Joseph were when they could not find Jesus until the third day of their search. It would have been a unique problem to lose the Son of God. We did not focus on parent issues but on Jesus’ great love for God’s house and the importance of studying and discussing God’s word.  We want to grow in wisdom, stature and in favor with God and people just like Jesus did.

Good Shepherd Open House to be held next week Tuesday 1/22 and Wednesday 1/23 from 8:00 a.m.-8:00p.m. We would encourage you to register for the next school year at this time. Invite other potential families to visit and gather more information.

NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, JANUARY 25TH.

Wednesday, 1-23 will be the last day for Watertown Food Pantry donations. We have 43 items thus far which is just over 5 cans per student. We are doing very well! Thanks for your support.

Go Fish is the upcoming K-3 musical…In choir we are working on songs and actions. The kids are really excited about the theme and the music. We will present this musical on Grandparents/Special Person Day both during the day and in the evening. This will take place on Friday, March 7th during National Lutheran Schools Week. More details to come.

Write, write, write…You may have noticed that we are working on writing simple sentences. We focus on beginning with an upper case letter and ending our sentence with either a period or a question mark. Our focus is on high frequency words that are seen often in beginning readers.

Worship the Lord with your family this weekend!
