Welcome to School!

December 15, 2007

The Gingerbread Kid is a reader’s theater experience that our 5th/6th grade buddies will

perform for us next week. Each of the buddies made their Kindergarten friend an invitation. The children really treasure their big friends.

Happy Birthday Jesus! We will have a party next Friday morning after our last Christmas program practice. We will decorate and eat some cut out cookies donated by Mrs. Gail Gaugart who is a big supporter of our school. We will do some movement activities to Christmas music. If your family would like to send a small treat, pencil etc…for your child to hand out, the children will receive a goodie bag from me. Send 9 treats so that your child could give a treat to their 5th/6th grade buddy. We do not have a classroom gift exchange. We encourage everyone to give to the food pantry instead.

Save those beautiful Christmas cards…If you receive cards send them in after the holidays. Just save the picture part of the card.

Kindergarten grocery to open after the holidays.  Please save small, clean boxes, cartons, bottles and other containers that would work for our grocery. The children will practice paying for items with pennies and dimes at this point. We don’t have a lot of room so small items only…thank you!

The Letter Kk was the letter of the week. The puppets Kanga and Katie Koala helped us sing our songs. We did some fancy kicking and karate moves with our feet.

The school Christmas Program is next Friday, December 21st at 7:00 p.m. The children have practiced to help you celebrate Jesus’ birthday. The children should arrive and meet in the kindergarten classroom by 6:40 p.m. wearing their Christmas best.

Return all library books so that Mrs. Miller can shelve them before the holidays.

Kindergarten invited to participate in the preschool Nativity play January 11th in the afternoon. More details to come…

Worship the Lord with your family this weekend.
