Good Shepherd Lutheran Church & School

 

Pastor David K. Groth was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin and was raised in neighboring Delavan, Wisconsin. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a major in psychology. He spent 1986-87 in Bonn, West Germany, studying at the Rheinisches-Fredrich Wilhelms Universitat-Bonn.

 

Pastor Groth began work at Concordia Seminary-St. Louis in 1988, received his Master of Divinity in May of 1992 and was ordained at Grace Lutheran Chapel in St. Louis, Missouri in June of 1992.

In 1998 he received a Masters of Sacred Divinity (STM).

 

Pastor served nine years at Grace Lutheran Chapel before coming to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in September of 2001.

 

 In addition to being the Senior Pastor at Good Shepherd, Pastor Groth also serves as a P.A.L.S facilitator for the synod, and serves on the Board for the Watertown Concert Series.

 

Pastor Groth enjoys cooking, making maple syrup, golf, tennis, reading, physical labor and Sheepshead. He and his wife, Gail, have three children.
